A contact lens cleaning and rinsing method embodying use of a vacuum tool for conveniently retaining a preferably soft contact lens in a positively held position for sequential chemical cleaning and rinsing of both sides thereof preparatory to either thermal or chemical disinfecting of the lens prior to eye contact application and use by the wearer.
