ABSTRACT:
The contact lens of the present invention consisting of a polymer comprising, as an essential component, at least one fluorine-containing monomer represented by the general formula ##STR1## (R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently H or CH.sub.3 and may be the same or different, l is an integer of 1-5, m is an integer of 1-2, n is an integer of 4-10, p is an integer of 8 or more, q is an integer of 0 or more, and p+q=2n+1), has high transparency, improved oxygen permeability, flexibility, hydrophilicity and no water absorbability.
