ABSTRACT:
A contact lens formed from a soft, flexible, hydrophilic, cross-linked polymeric material. The lens has a centrally located optical zone and an outer peripheral portion that has its maximum thickness intermediate the juncture of that portion with the optical zone and the thin edge of the lens.
