A connector having a floating structure includes a floating holder4for coupling a fitting coupling portion5connected to a portable electrical apparatus30to a base3through a floating mechanism10. The floating holder4is molded of plastic as a separate part from a connector main body2provided with the fitting coupling portion5. The floating holder4has a first holder4A and a second holder4B for pinching and supporting a coupling deck8of the connector main body2from opposite sides. The first holder4A and the second holder4B have locking hooks18, 19and are coupled to each other directly or through the connector main body2. Moreover, the first holder4A and the second holder4B have integrally molded support portions16, 22for supporting the coupling deck8of the connector main body2.
