ABSTRACT:
To provide a connector which is capable of reducing the possibility that a cover is removed due to a cause other than an operation of removing a card when the cover is in a locked position, even if a height of the connector is reduced. A cover7which covers an upper surface of an IC card21accommodated in an accommodating section33of a housing3is pivotally mounted on the housing. The cover7is formed by a cover main body71which is opposed to the upper surface of the IC card21accommodated in the housing3, arm portions74and74which are connected to the cover main body71, shaft portions75and75which are connected to the arm portions74and74, respectively, and are pivotally supported by respective slots321aformed in respective side plates312of the housing3. The arm portions74and74are capable of being elastically deformed, and being brought into contact with opposite sides of the IC card21accommodated in the housing3. The shaft portions75and75are inserted through the respective slots312aand312afrom the accommodating section33of the housing3.
