ABSTRACT:
A connector is provided with a housing10fittable into a receptacle52of a mating connector50and a retainer20to be inserted into the housing10sideways. Cavities12A,12B for accommodating terminals are arranged side by side in the housing. The retainer20includes a main body21with side by side engaging portions26A,26B for engaging the terminals. Side walls31are provided at the opposite ends in an arrangement direction of the engaging portions26A,26B and projecting forward from the main body21in a connecting direction with the mating connector50. Reinforcements34project in from front end portions of the side walls31in the connecting direction with the mating connector50and are at the rear ends of the side walls31in an inserting direction of the retainer20into the housing10.
