ABSTRACT:
A connector10includes a male connector housing14having a retaining projection19, a female connector housing17having an elastic lock arm28which is brought into retaining engagement with the retaining projection19when the male connector housing14is inserted and fitted into the female connector housing, and a fitting-ensuring member13which is brought into engagement with the elastic lock arm28, retainingly engaged with the retaining projection19, to hold the elastic lock arm28against elastic deformation. An abutment portion38is formed at one of the female connector housing17and the fitting-ensuring member13, and during the movement of the fitting-ensuring member13, the abutment portion38causes the fitting-ensuring member13to drop into the elastic lock arm28.
