ABSTRACT:
A pair of engaging holes15are formed in side wall portions of the plug pin1and a pair of engaging beams35are formed on side wall portions of an insulating housing3, the engaging beams35being pushed by an external contact5and moving toward a pin inserting hole31when the insulating housing3with the plug pin1press-fitted therein is inserted into the external contact5. As a result, a pair of retaining pawls37are put in engagement with the engaging holes15, whereby the plug pin1and the insulating housing3are fixed to each other. Since the plug pin1and the insulating housing3are fixed together by both press-fit engagement of the plug pin1into the insulating housing3and engagement of the retaining pawls37with the engaging holes15, the strength of the fixing is enhanced.
