ABSTRACT:
In a connector1comprising: a connector housing11including two guide grooves25respectively for receiving two cam pins15, and a lever12including two cam grooves44respectively engageable with the cam pins15and rotatably supported on the connector housing11, wherein, in the initially engaged state of the connector1with a partner connector2, the cam pins15are disposed in the entrance openings of the guide grooves25and the cam grooves44, and, when the lever12is operated and rotated, the cam pins15are respectively engaged with the cam grooves44and are pushed deep into the guide grooves25, whereby the connector1is completely engaged with the partner connector2; and, the connector1further including a dustproof cover13removably mounted on the connector housing11for covering the insertion opening of the connector housing11into which the partner connector2can be inserted, wherein the dustproof cover13includes a pressure portion54ato be pressed against the lever12and, by applying pressure to the lever12using the pressure portion54a, the lever12can be held at its initial position where the entrance openings of the cam groove44coincide with the entrance openings of the guide grooves25.
