ABSTRACT:
The nucleotide sequence of a novel xylanase gene obtained from the soilborne fungus Coniothyrium minitans, and denoted cxy1, is provided. The amino acid sequence of the encoded xylanase enzyme, denoted Cxy1, is also provided.
