I describe a device comprising a hollow conical shield which wedge impacts the barrel of an inserted syringe having an affixed hollow needle initially covered by a needle scabbard, such that the hollow needle can be kept sterile after the needle scabbard is removed to fill the syringe; and such that accidental sticks are prevented after the syringe
