ABSTRACT:
In an image processing apparatus of the present invention, an F code indicating a location in which facsimile data received from outside is stored, and a mail address of a computer apparatus connected to a network, associated with the F code, are set. If the facsimile data is received along with the F code, the apparatus creates and sends a receipt mail reporting to the mail address associated with the F code that the facsimile data has been received. The apparatus accepts a mail including instructions concerning processing on the received facsimile data, and processes the facsimile data in accordance with the instructions.
