ABSTRACT:
A conductive element such as an electrode useful in photovoltaic cells comprises a soda-lime glass support having thereon a layer containing polycrystalline SnO.sub.2 and a fluorine dopant, said conductive electrode being substantially haze-free and having a transmittance of radiation between 400 and 800 nm greater than 70% and an electrical resistance less than 30 ohm per square. The conductive element is particularly useful in thin film cadmium sulfide/cadmium telluride photovoltaic cells.
