ABSTRACT:
A mechanism for transforming heat energy into mechanical energy capable of tilizing heat from low temperature sources such as solar heated water, geothermal hot water and rejected heat from conventional engines. The mechanism uses a series of elements manufactured from a nickel-titanium alloy. These elements are formed into a particular shape called the memory shape and, when mechanically deformed, may be instantly returned to the memory shape by the application of heat.
