ABSTRACT:
Disclosed herein are a novel compound isolated fromGinkgo bilobaand a method for isolating the novel compound fromGinkgo biloba. The method comprises: (1) extractingGinkgo bilobawith alcohol to obtain a crude extract; (2) subjecting theGinkgo bilobacrude extract to solvent fractionation using an organic solvent; (3) fractionating the solvent fractions by Sephadex column chromatography; and (4) fractionating the Sephadex fractions by silica gel column chromatography.
