ABSTRACT:
This invention provides a composition, method and kit for potentiating the antitumor effect of tegafur and reducing the side effects of tegafur, comprising a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is a halogen atom or a cyano group and oxonic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and also provides a composition, method and kit for treating a tumor, comprising tegafur, a compound of the formula (I) and oxonic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
