ABSTRACT:
Thermosetting high solids coating compositions which: (i) cure, at least in part, by reaction between an amine-aldehyde compound and hydroxyl functionality on a film-forming component, which hydroxyl functionality is either generated in situ during the cure of the composition or is both generated in situ during cure and is present on the film-forming component prior to curing; (ii) are adapted for low temperature bake applications; and (iii) contain greater than about 55% by weight of nonvolatile solids. The claimed high solids coating compositions, exclusive of pigments, solvents and other nonreactive components, consist essentially of:
