ABSTRACT:
A method and composition for a rectally administered hypoglycemic agent into the bloodstream for the treatment of diabetes in mammals. The hypoglycemic agent is mixed with a physiological surface active agent which results in a suspension. This suspension is then mixed with a dispersion formed by dissolving MYRJ.sup..TM. 45, MYRJ.sup..TM. 51, ONESTA HARDENER.sup..TM. and COTMAR.sup..TM. in ether. This mixture is then evaporated and a semisolid mass results which is then shaped into a suppository.
