ABSTRACT:
A vinyl ester resin/filler composite is disclosed which has a glass transition temperature of at least 315.degree. C. when cured. One version of the composite includes tabular alumina as a filler. Another version of the composite includes a powdered base nickel alloy as a filler. The composite is especially advantageous when used to build tools for use in plastic molding machines and processes.
