ABSTRACT:
In order to achieve a stable burn characteristic, improved mechanical proties and reduced smoke development during burn, a composite solid propellant includes nitrides, borides, and carbonitrides of the metals zirconium, titanium, tungsten, hafnium, tantalum, or niobium as a burn moderator.
