A composite optical device1includes a first optical section10having an optical functional surface11and a second optical section20bonded to the first optical section10on the optical functional surface11. The optical functional surface11includes a smooth part13and a concave-convex part12adjacent to each other, and is constructed so that a position P2, along a normal direction of the smooth part13, of a concave bottom of the concave-convex part12can be closer to the center of the first optical section10than a position P1along the normal direction of an end of the smooth part13on a side of the concave-convex part12in a boundary vicinity portion NR between the smooth part13and the concave-convex part12.
