ABSTRACT:
Windows, doors and the like are constructed from a composite frame structure combining both metal and plastic components. The frame structure includes a rigid, integral self-supporting metal frame enclosed by a similar rigid, integral self-supporting plastic frame. The resulting windows and doors have enhanced esthetic appeal while, at the same time, providing a weatherproof structure of enhanced strength.
