ABSTRACT:
A composite material comprises a radiation image storage panel composed of a light-shielding substrate and a phosphor layer containing a stimulable phosphor and provided on the substrate, and a light-shielding sheet positioned on the surface on the phosphor layer side of the radiation image storage panel in a manner separable from the surface. The light-shielding sheet is made of a material interrupting stimulating rays which excite the stimulable phosphor, but permeable to a radiation passing through an object.
