ABSTRACT:
A compactor is provided wherein cuttings delivered to a compaction chamber33by a screw conveyor22are compacted into a solid product W by operating a hydraulic cylinder28,and subsequently a gate member51disposed at one end of the compaction chamber33is opened so as to discharge the solid product W via the one end of the compaction chamber33.The compaction chamber33includes a first cylindrical body31and a second cylindrical body40.The second cylindrical body40is removably mounted to one end of the first cylindrical body31for facilitating the replacement of the second cylindrical body40when the second cylindrical body40is worn.
