ABSTRACT:
A combined oil ring4is comprised of an oil ring5having upper and lower rails7and8, and an expander6for applying contact pressure radially outwards on the oil ring5. The outer circumferential surface11of the upper rail7of the oil ring5is comprised of a flat surface11awith an axial width of 0.05 to 0.3 millimeters, a curved surface11bjoining to the upper end of the flat surface11aand to the upper surface12of the upper rail7, and a curved surface11cjoining to the lower end of the flat surface11aand to the lower surface13of the upper rail7. The lower rail8is formed in the same way.
