ABSTRACT:
A mailing apparatus is provided for sending a numbered communication through the mail including an attention-getting border contiguous said number. The invention includes a letter having an address area and a number area with the number area being surrounded by a border. An envelope is provided including openings therein covered by glassine windows permitting viewing of the address and number therethrough from the exterior of the envelope once the letter has been appropriately folded and properly inserted within the interior of the envelope. In one embodiment, the opening within the envelope permitting viewing of the numbered area on the letter therethrough is also configured to permit viewing therethrough of the border about the numbered area. Alternately, or in addition, the area of the envelope which permits viewing of the numbered portion of an appropriately inserted letter therethrough includes a border thereabout.
