ABSTRACT:
High interimage effects and edge effects can be obtained in multilayer color photographic recording materials if yellow DIR couplers of formula I are used therein, particularly if used in green sensitized or red sensitized layers. Sharpness and color reproduction are substantially improved. ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 denotes a straight chained or branched alkyl group with up to 18 carbon atoms;
