ABSTRACT:
An image processing system has an external image processing apparatus and an image input/output apparatus. One of the apparatuses acts as a transmission-side apparatus and the other apparatus acts as a reception-side apparatus. The transmission-side apparatus transmits image data and includes a reception device for receiving an encryption instruction from an apparatus which receives image data, and an output device for encrypting the image data on the basis of the encryption instruction and outputting the encrypted data to the apparatus at a reception side. The reception-side apparatus receives image data and includes a transmitting device for transmitting the encryption instruction, and a decrypting device for decrypting the encrypted data on the basis of the encryption instruction.
