The liquid crystal device1has a pixel region100,a first peripheral region101surrounding this pixel region100,and a second peripheral region102surrounding the first peripheral region101.In the first peripheral region101,a color layer120is disposed which is formed of the same color material as that for a reflective blue color layer150B disposed in the pixel region100.In the second peripheral region102,a laminate film140composed of color layers140B,140R, and140B is disposed, these color layers described above being formed of the same color materials as those for a non-reflective blue color layer160B, a non-reflective red color layer160R, and a non-reflective green color layer160G, respectively.
