ABSTRACT:
This invention is directed to an extremely lightweight construction for coke oven doors with simultaneous optimal sealing, by assuring that the oven door comprises of one sealing unit and the closing forces act simultaneously on the seal, thereby avoiding heat loss between the two units as much as possible.
