ABSTRACT:
The coil component includes a magnetic core130and conductors210and220. The magnetic core130includes through-holes that are made by grooves111and112. The conductors210and220are provided in the grooves111and112, respectively. The magnetic core130includes a nonmagnetic portion in which the grooves111and112are communicated, and a distance between the conductors210and220through the nonmagnetic portion is shorter than a distance between the conductors210and220in surfaces110cand110din which the conductors210and220are exposed. Therefore, necessity to provide a large cavity in the magnetic core is eliminated, and a risk of the short circuit between terminal electrodes exposed in the surfaces110cand110dis also eliminated.
