ABSTRACT:
A coating composition comprising (A) a hydrolyzed product obtained from a tetraalkoxysilane, (B) a hydrolyzed product obtained from a silicon compound of the formula, R'Si(OR").sub.3, wherein R' and R" are as defined in the specification, and (C) a poly(vinyl acetate) resin gives excellent physical and chemical properties such as hardness, wear resistance, scratch resistance, etc., to the coated film, when it is coated on shaped articles particularly made from plastics such as methacrylate resins.
