ABSTRACT:
A coating apparatus10includes a base11, a substrate support stage unit2mounted on the base11and capable of fixedly supporting a substrate1, a coating unit3mounted on the base11and capable of discharging a coating material onto a substrate1fixedly supported on the substrate support stage unit2, and a motor unit4for driving at least either the substrate support stage unit2or the coating unit3for sliding on the base11. The motor unit3has a stator assembly22on the base11. The stator assembly22includes a plurality of magnets31linearly arranged such that opposite magnetic polarities of the magnets alternately change, and a pair of magnet holding members37and38for linearly pressing the magnets31together from both the ends of the magnets.
