ABSTRACT:
Novel hot melt adhesive comprise a fluoroelastomer, an ethylene copolymer and a tackifier. Preferably the adhesive contains 20 to 40% by weight of the fluorocarbon elastomer, 40 to 60% by weight of the ethylene copolymer and 10 to 30% by weight of the tackifier. The adhesives will bond well to a wide variety of substrates, including substrates of low surface energy such as partially fluorinated polymers, even after prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
