ABSTRACT:
A clutch disc assembly holding a diaphragm spring using a pair of wire rings clamped by bent tabs of a clutch cover or stud pins, and having a coned disc spring for controlling an increase in a releasing load due to wear of facings of a clutch. An annular coned disc spring urging an outer peripheral portion of the diaphragm spring to a side opposite to the clutch disc is disposed between a pressure plate and the diaphragm spring. An annular support plate is provided and its inner peripheral portion is held between the bent tabs of the clutch cover and the pair of wire rings. The coned disc spring is held by an outer peripheral portion of the support plate and the outer peripheral portion of the diaphragm spring in an elastically deflected condition.
