ABSTRACT:
Layers (14, 15) of the envelope (12) of the packed product (11) overlapped accompanied by the interposing of an adhesive (16) form on one envelope side (13) a strip-like closing field (17) and which for the activation of the adhesive (16) is moved along a corresponding elongated, thermal emitter (9), whose width is roughly the same as the width of the closing field (17). As a result the adhesive (16) does not pass laterally out of the lateral boundaries of the overlap and is instead only activated within its lateral edges (18, 19) by liquefication. The packed product (11) is consequently also thermally treated in a careful manner.
