ABSTRACT:
A balancing clip for a rectangular tilting game board with a central pair of axes coinciding with edges of projections which support the board above the underlying surface. The board is elevated to allow its tilting in either direction when the playing pieces thereon are unevenly distributed to cause a predetermined moment on one side or the other. The axes are located equal distances from the board's transverse centerline and are at the same level. The center of gravity of the combined board and playing pieces in their starting position and the axes are approximately at the same level. The longer sides of the board having depending edges or flanges with beads along their bottoms. The balancing clip has a resilient U-shaped part which resiliently grasps the flange on which it is received above the bead and is slidable along the flange to the position required to achieve the board's proper balance. The clip includes a weight part which extends normally relative to the flange under the board. Two clips are provided for the board. Each weighs three to four thousandths of the board's weight.
