ABSTRACT:
A clip applier includes a body21, an insertion tube22extending from the body21and inserted in a channel of an endoscope and a clamp mechanism24disposed at a distal end of the insertion tube22. The clamp mechanism24has a support member28fixed at the distal end of the insertion tube22and a pair of clamp members30rotatably supported by the support member28. The clamp members30are connected to a distal end of a wire25via a pair of links35. The clamp members30respectively include gripping portions32protruding form the support member28. A clip50is received in receiving grooves32aof the gripping portions32. When the wire25is pulled by operating an operation member disposed on the body21, the clamp members30are rotated against an elastic force of a hinge portion51of the clip50, thereby causing a pair of clip portions53of the clip50to be opened.
