In a clincher device1, 11of a stapler adapted to be engaged with staple legs S1which have been ejected from a driver unit by a driver10toward sheets of paper and have penetrated through the sheets of paper, thereby to clinch the staple legs S1on a back face side of the sheets of paper, a plurality of projected lines8, 9, 14to be engaged with the staple legs S1are provided in parallel with one another, on faces of the clincher device1, 11for guiding the staple legs inwardly.
