ABSTRACT:
A degreasing composition consisting essentially of 3-5% by weight of an ethylene glycol monoalkyl ether; 3-5% by weight of RCON(C.sub.n H.sub.2n OH).sub.2), wherein R is alkly of 8-18 carbon atoms and n is 2 or 3; 0.5-1.5% by weight of sodium metasilicate pentahydrate; 0.1-9.5% by weight of KOH; 1-3% by weight of R'CONH(CH.sub.2).sub.3 N.sup.+ (CH.sub.3).sub.2 CH.sub.2 COO.sup.-, wherein R' is alkyl of 8-18 carbon atoms; 3-5% by weight of R"--C.sub.6 H.sub.4 --SO.sub.3.sup.- H.sub.3 N.sup.+ R'", wherein R" is alkyl of 9-15 carbon atoms and R'" is alkyl of 2-4 carbon atoms; and water.
