ABSTRACT:
A clarifier constructed of a pair of spacedly positioned upright supports having a plurality of inverted "V"-shaped carrier chambers mounted to extend therebetween is disclosed. Each support defines a plurality of inverted "V"-shaped recess wells in the surface thereof along its height which individually receive an end of a respective carrier chamber. A detachable connection strip provides means of connecting adjacently positioned supports to form clarifiers of increasing height. Each support defines a plurality of apertures therein which communicate individually with a respective carrier chamber. A novel flow regulator strip arrangement provides means of sealedly controlling the effluent exiting each said aperture from a respective carrier chamber.
