ABSTRACT:
A clamping device for a rotary printing press utilizes a plurality of toothed racks and inflatable tubes to rotate a clamping spindle between press blanket clamping and unclamping positions. A blocking device is utilized to prevent loosening of the blanket when the direction of rotation of the cylinder is reversed. The blocking device prevents the clamping spindle from being rotated in the unclamping direction.
