ABSTRACT:
A protective device for a load-control device which provides preservation of the load-control function of a CPU and prevents misoperation, even if an abnormality occurs, and which comprises a CPU, controlling load in response to sensor signals; a DC voltage-regulation circuit, supplying voltage to the CPU; a current-adjustment means operating so that the power supply line voltage and the DC voltage-regulation circuit output voltage are equal; a voltage-responding means which switches off the current-adjustment means when the power supply line voltage exceeds a prescribed upper limit level; a switching means switching the current-adjustment means off; and a voltage comparison means switching off the current-adjustment means when the power supply line voltage falls below a lower limit level, and wherein the CPU intermittently operates the switching means when the current-adjustment means is switched off.
