ABSTRACT:
A digital signal filter circuit for convolving a sequence of at least n+(q+1) data samples with a kernel of n coefficients, where the coefficients have as an envelope a polynomial function of degree q, which extracts a first set of q+1 contiguous data samples, stores n-(q+1) intermediate data samples following the set of (q+1) contiguous data samples, extracts from the sequence of data samples a second set of (q+1) contiguous data samples that follow the intermediate data samples, linearly combines the data samples of the first and second sets with weighting values that are a function of the coefficients of the polynomials to obtain a linear combination of (q+2) sequential convolved samples with binomial coefficients, and recursively selects at least one of the convolved sample from the linear combination of (q+2) sequential convolved samples.
