ABSTRACT:
A microprocessor-based digital solid-state trip-unit for processing digital signals derived from analog signals supplied by current sensors. In order to reduce measurement error of the peak value of the signals due to signal sampling, the microprocessor samples a signal latched at the last peak. A countdown timer determines the latching time to include two or three peak values.
