ABSTRACT:
Chromium containing azo dyes of the general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein one of the phenyl nuclei A, B, D and E is substituted by sulfonic acid group, the nuclei A, B, C, D and E may be substituted by one or more substituents selected from the group consisting of chlorine atom, bromine atom, nitro group, lower alkoxy group and lower alkyl group and M is an alkali metal, possess excellent fastness and give dyeings of unique bright yellow tint.
