ABSTRACT:
Disazo pigments of the formula ##STR1## wherein X represents hydrogen or chlorine and Y represents hydrogen or methyl, with X representing chlorine if Y represents hydrogen and X representing hydrogen if Y represents methyl are prepared. The compounds may be used for pigmenting organic materials such as ethyl cellulose, polyesters, and polyvinyl chloride. The compounds have outstanding fastness to light and migration, and good resistance to heat.
