ABSTRACT:
A chlorinated ethylene copolymer resin having a chlorine content of 5-50% by weight obtained by chlorinating an ethylene copolymer resin by the aqueous suspension method at a temperature of 100.degree. C. or higher in at least one chlorination stage, said copolymer resin being obtained by copolymerizing ethylene and as at least one comonomer 0.02-2.0 mol % of a nonconjugated diene using a polymerization catalyst comprising a solid catalytic component containing at least magnesium and titanium and an organic aluminum compound and having a maximum peak temperature according to the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of 100.degree. C. or higher.
