ABSTRACT:
The present invention comprises a chewing gum composition having extended sweetness release including a chewing gum base, an extended release encapsulated sweetening agent in a coating material including a hydrophobic polymer and a hydrophobic plasticizer. The chewing gum composition has sweeteness release of up to 30 minutes during mastication.
