A chemical sensor having a field-effect transistor as an electronic transducer and used for the analysis of specific constituents in a liquid, the chemical sensor comprising means which permits an externally supplied sample solution to reach a chemical receptor of said chemical sensor but substantially prevents external light from reaching said field effect transistor.
